Marsha Reid – Performing Arts Presenter & Producer

Marsha’s career in the arts encompasses more than 10 years of experience
as producer, programmer, manager and administrator. In addition to her
ongoing work with non-profit arts institutions: Lincoln Center Festivals,
Black Girls Rock! and the renowned Concerts & Lectures series at
The Metropolitan Museum of Art  - Marsha’s company Musical
Directions presents and showcases some of the finest musicians
and artists from this country and abroad, representing both
artists at the height of their careers and emerging artists,  
Music, dance and spoken word, from an array of
cultures, a global celebration of the performing arts.

A West Indian,raised & educated in London, Marsha moved
to New York in 1997 to pursue a career in music marketing. Armed
with a B.A in Marketing & Advertising, a diploma in Performing Arts
Administration and a will to succeed, Marsha secured a position at Sean
‘Puffy’ Comb’s record label (Bad Boy Entertainment). Shortly thereafter
she formed Musical Directions:  A full service concert, festival & tour production
company and set about producing shows for the major labels. You can see what that

Ten years later the productions have evolved and Musical Directions & Marsha now produce and present more than
200 events per season in multiple genres of performance art.

Marsha's well-rounded background in both the entertainment industry and branded corporate environments qualifies
her to execute events in all entertainment media. Her extensive study of music enables her to work fluently in the genres
of Classical, World, Jazz, Pop, Reggae, and Dance music
